Ramonita’s practice covers all aspects of family law, including divorce proceedings, equitable distribution of business and financial assets, alimony and child support, and custody, as well as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and adoptions. Ramonita generally first seeks to achieve favorable settlements for her clients without litigation since this is most cost-effective and protects the children of a relationship.  However, where this is not possible, she will protect her clients’ and their children’s interests by vigorously litigating a case. To this end, as a former senior member of three legal organizations, she has deep experience in all New York courts with jurisdiction over family law matters including Supreme Court, Family Court and Surrogates Court.

Ramonita has served as a lecturer to the bar on family law issues, has served as an adjunct professor in family law and has been appointed to a number of important City and State panels dealing with significant family law issues.

Ramonita is a native New Yorker and lives in New York City. She is fluent in Spanish.
